This is a bit of a mixture of my suggestions of questions to answer and topics which could be included.

  6. Health language – what do people mean by phrases and complaints?
  7. Attitude towards health education and personal responsibility for health
  8. Who do they trust when ill, and who do they turn to for advice?
  9. Role of the Imam and Mosque for support
  10. Family support network
  11. Beliefs about God and Satan and the part they play in illness
  12. Relationships between patients and doctors
  13. Carers and social support networks
  14. Special issues around fasting in Ramadan
  15. Needs in a hospital setting for religious practice
  16. Attitudes towards death and dying
  17. Attitudes towards children
  18. Any issues around female health problems?
  19. Family support issues
  20. Personal responsibility and authority within Islam
  21. Attitudes towards the elderly
  22. Are there models of good practice in medical centres, hospitals etc?
  23. Is there a body of literature to consult?

What simple questionnaire or other tools exists to help the doctor understand the beliefs and attitudes of the patient. What set of questions would place the patient within a set of beliefs within Islam?
